Aramex is recruiting a Head of Project Cargo & Industrial Projects in Casablanca to build and expand its industrial project logistics capabilities.
The role covers heavy-lift, out-of-gauge, and breakbulk shipments for sectors including energy, oil and gas, mining, infrastructure, and industrial manufacturing.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the growth strategy for project cargo and industrial logistics in Morocco.
- Lead industrial tenders, including pricing and technical and commercial proposals.
- Build long-term relationships with industrial customers and engineering, procurement, and construction companies.
- Oversee multimodal shipments, heavy-lift operations, vessel and aircraft charters, and oversized road transport.
- Coordinate site inspections, route surveys, and transport feasibility studies.
- Negotiate with carriers and service providers and manage relationships with port and handling stakeholders.
- Take responsibility for financial results, revenue forecasts, margins, and cost control.
- Manage operational, commercial, and financial risks while ensuring customs and health, safety, security, and environmental compliance.
Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, engineering, or a related field.
- Substantial freight-forwarding experience: the advertisement specifies “7 to 10+ years,” with a strong focus on project cargo, breakbulk, and industrial logistics.
- A proven record of securing major project contracts and managing multimodal operations in North Africa or comparable emerging markets.
- Deep knowledge of air and ocean chartering, heavy-lift engineering, port handling, and specialized road transport.
- Familiarity with Moroccan regulations, customs clearance, and transport authorities is an advantage.
- Strong negotiation, tender-management, and multidisciplinary team leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in French and English.
